His Excellency Major General Dr. Nasser Salem Saif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Security, Justice and Safety Committee, Visits Al Foah

Abu Dhabi, 21 March 2017 - His Excellency Major General Dr. Nasser Salem Saif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Security, Justice and Safety Committee of the Executive Council in Abu Dhabi, visited Al Foah at the Emirates Dates Factory in Al Saad City, Al Ain. Considering Al Foah is the largest producer of dates in the world, HE Al Nuaimi was acquainted with the latest developments in the field of dates manufacturing.

During the visit, an operational update along with the latest services offered by the Emirates Dates Factory to the farmers was shared with His Excellency Al Nuaimi, who praised the advancement of dates production in the UAE and the latest technology being adopted and used in manufacturing. He also commended the contribution of the high quality local dates production by UAE nationals across the country to the reinforcement of the national Emirati identity, and the growing international demand.

His Excellency Major General Dr. Nasser Salem Saif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Security, Justice and Safety Committee of the Executive Council in Abu Dhabi said, "We are delighted to visit one of the most important dates factories in the country, a key element in the heritage and history of the UAE. Al Foah’s Emirates Dates Factory is a success story of national pride, established and run by the sons and daughters of Emiratis, reflecting the progress of national manpower in various fields and sectors, including the industrial sector.”

HE Musallam Al Ameri, CEO of Al Foah, welcomed HE Al Nuaimi and his accompanying delegation to the Al Foah premises, underlining that this tour reflects their commitment to learn about the evolution of the dates industry in the country which supports the promotion of the national products locally and its distribution across the global markets.

HE Al Ameri confirmed that the dissemination of UAE dates products reinforces the position of the palm plantation in the country as a primary element for the success of Al Foah. He also emphasized the direct support and attention palm plantations received from the founder of the agricultural renaissance in the country - the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God have mercy upon him).

HE Al Ameri added, “Al Foah dedicates ample effort to further reinforce the presence of Emirati dates in international countries. 90% of Al Foah's dates production is being exported globally, thanks to their high quality, increased international demand and extensive marketing efforts.”

Mohammed Ghanem Al Mansouri, Deputy CEO of Al Foah said, “Al Foah spares no effort to offer support to farm owners. Eight specialized receiving centers are dedicated to local farmers, in addition to offering them numerous services including the issuance of marketing cards with their latest information.”

Al Mansouri added that farmers can call the toll free number 8005551, an interactive voice response IVR Arabic and English service system, which includes several easy choices regarding bookings, return of funds, payments, and any inquiries or other proposals in the interest of farmers, thus contributing to the provision of high-quality services to them around the clock, seven days a week.

Al Foah is the largest producer of dates in the world, serving more than 18 thousand farmers who represent a large segment of society and are considered the cornerstone of palms and dates production. Al Foah is responsible for the improvement of services provided to farmers.
