Al Foah Company, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Government-owned Senaat Holding, is participating at the Liwa Dates Festival in Al Dafrah from 17 to 27 of this month, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and organized by the Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee - Abu Dhabi.

On the participation of Al Foah, HE Eng. Dhafer Ayed Al Ahbabi, Chairman of Al Foah Company, said: "Al Foha is proud to have participated in the Liwa Festival since its inception due to its direct association with the palm and dates sector, and we at Al Foah Company believe that the blessed Palm is an integral part of our ancient past. Through this festival, we contribute to the definition of heritage and its documentation and presentation to generations, in addition to highlighting economic treasure that our ancestors have lived on since ancient times. Today, we are working on developing this vital sector in the country."

Al-Ahbabi affirmed that Al Foha contributed to the objectives and vision of the UAE for economic diversification by occupying the first place on the list of the largest producers and exporters of dates in the world, stressing that the dates received from more than 18 thousand farms are considered local production of citizens' farms spread throughout the country. The UAE's finest dates are marketed to more than 45 countries around the world and the company has the largest organic farm in the world.

For his part, HE Mr. Musallam Obeid Belkhales Al Amri, CEO of Al Foah Company, said that Al Foah puts farmers as one of the most important priorities, as they are considered the main focus for the success of the date palm sector. Al Foah is keen to take the farmers' hands to improve the quality of their dates through awareness of the most important agricultural processes and best practices in taking care of palm trees, as well as encouraging them to cultivate high-value and commercially desirable varieties, improving farm incomes, ensuring the sustainability of their trade returns, and developing and improving the competitiveness of the UAE's dates domestically and internationally in general.
